University of Winnipeg Entrance Scholarship
- Students
who are wanting to attend the University of Winnipeg and wish to be
considered for the Fall/Winter 2014-15 Entrance Scholarships and
financial assistance, must fill
out a separate Application Form which is found on the University of
Winnipeg website by following the link: “Fall/Winter Entrance
Scholarship Application Form”. These forms have to be submitted by December
2, 2013.
In addition, students must have applied to the University of Winnipeg

United Way Youth Leaders in Action Scholarship
will present Four awards of $500 each in 2014. Awards will be given to
graduating Grade 12 students who meet the following criteria:

Academic potential – Students must attend a post-secondary institution
in Winnipeg during the 2014-2015 academic year and are able to demonstrate a commitment to their education.
·
Demonstrated leadership – students must have challenged themselves
in order to influence others on issues that are important to them.
·
Connection with a United Way-funded organization – students must

Financial need – recipients who demonstrate a need for financial
support will be made a priority.
·
Application deadline is February 14, 2014.

Winnipeg North Rotary Club Scholarship Program
– These post-secondary entrance scholarships are open to students who
are graduating from high school and will pursue university or college
within Canada in the fall of 2014. In addition candidate’s high academic
achievements and contribution to their school
and their community through their involvement in extracurricular
activities. Deadline Date is March 31, 2014.

Job Yellowhead Memorial Education Fund –
This scholarship is open to all Aboriginal Canadian students who are
graduating and plan to attend university in September 2014.
Additional criteria:

Resident of Manitoba
2)
Falls into one of the following categories: status Indian, non-status Indian, Metis, or Inuit.
3)
Does have Financial need
4)
Deadline Date is January 31, 2014

The Terry Fox Humanitarian Award
Terry
Fox Humanitarian Award valued up to $7,000 per year is open to
graduating secondary who will be attending a Canadian post-secondary
institution to begin a degree
or diploma program in September 2014. Award recipients must also meet the following criteria: Involvement
in
voluntary humanitarian work. Canadian citizens or landed immigrants.
Maintain a satisfactory academic standing and continued involvement in
voluntary humanitarian and community work. Application forms and
accompanying documents must be postmarked by February
1, 2014.

Mr. Abdo El-Tassi Bridge Builders Award
valued
at $500 is open to all Grade 12 graduating students, pursuing
post-secondary education in September 2014, and who demonstrate
significant contribution
towards improving relations between cultural groups in Canada.
Accomplishments that will be considered are numerous i.e. civic engagement and/or volunteering experience,
essays, film or video production, etc. Deadline date to hand in application and
all materials to Mrs. Costa is Friday, May 9, 2014.

The Odenza
Marketing Group Spring Scholarship - $500 - 1 Award (Deadline: March
30, 2014
is available to students who will be pursuing post-secondary education
in the fall on 2014 and who have an average of 2.5% or higher. There
are essay

TD Scholarships for Community Leadership
– is available to graduating students who plan to pursue post-secondary
education in September 2014, and who have shown exceptional initiative
in making a meaningful and lasting difference in their community. While
applicants must have good academic grades,”
